Trilliant Networks is a fast-growing Silicon Valley company providing end-to-end IoT communications solutions to Utilities and Smart Cities worldwide.  Using advanced wireless networking technologies, Trilliant brings utilities into the smart grid future.  Trilliant is currently hiring a Product Manager, who will lead the product management activities for the definition, delivery and marketing of IoT applications for Utilities and Smart Cities. The product manager will report to the Vice President of Product Management.


The product line manager will be responsible for the success of his / her designated products. Specific responsibilities of the product manager include:

  • Establish Trilliant’s product strategy and roadmap for his / her designated solutions and products by engaging with customers and experts inside and outside the company
  • Ensure the creation of Market Requirement and Product Requirement documents
  • Prioritize release scope and work with the engineering team to deliver high quality products on time and within budget
  • Support the development of accurate product documentation, tech notes, white papers and product presentations
  • Develop competitive analyses
  • Identify and work with partners to increase the attainable size of the target market for the product line
  • Contribute to building strong company-wide product management processes
  • Work with the marketing, sales, and business development teams to respond to RFPs


  • Deep understanding of RF communication networks, protocols and standards
  • Proven track record of defining and launching end-to-end IoT solutions
  • Experience in the utility market strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with customers, as well as with peers in the sales, manufacturing and engineering organization
  • 2 years in product management roles in startup technology companies
  • Engineering background required with Master’s Degree in Telecommunications, Network Management, Electrical Engineering or Computer Science preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time as needed
