Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Andy joined Trilliant in 2009, bringing more than 30 years of leadership and experience in the utility, energy, networks and communications industries. Prior to Trilliant, Andy served as a General Electric (GE) corporate officer and as President and CEO of GE Nuclear Energy.
During his tenure, Andy has led businesses for major infrastructure and communications projects in Congo, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Dominican Republic and Algeria. He has served on two university advisory committees and ten boards. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bath University, specializing in Power Electronics.
Chief Financial Officer
David joined Trilliant in 2017 bringing an array of experience with public and private global companies in technology, services, software, and cognitive intelligence industries. His experience includes mergers and acquisitions, private equity sales, and debt and equity offerings. Prior to Trilliant, David was the CFO for M*Modal, Inc., finance executive of Allscripts Healthcare and Ernst & Young’s Assurance Services.
David has served as an advisor to venture capital and private equity firms, holds a BS in Information Systems and a Masters in Accountancy from Wake Forest University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Tricie Damaso is a seasoned human resource professional with more than 15 years of extensive HR expertise gained through experiences in contract manufacturing, non-profit and technical recruitment industries. Her knowledge base of employee relations, performance management, policy development, benefits, compensation, staffing/recruiting, training, acquisition integration, and compliance are critical to Trilliant’s demands.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Norma joined Trilliant in October 2012 as Senior Vice president, General Counsel and Secretary, bringing with her extensive experience in the electricity sector and energy R&D, as well as with corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property and litigation. Prior to joining TR she was Sr. VP, GC, Secretary and Chief Compliance Officer at the Electric Power Research Institute in Palo Alto, CA. Her earlier legal career was spent primarily at San Francisco’s Farella Braun & Martel where, among other things, she was a partner in and chaired the firm’s litigation department. While at Farella, Norma was engaged as the primary outside litigation counsel for the California Independent System Operator during California’s 2000 – 2001 energy crisis.
Norma received her J.D. with honors from the University of California Hastings College of the Law, and her undergraduate degree in English from UC Berkeley. She is an active speaker on electricity sector and clean technology issues, as well as on legal and compliance topics.
Senior Vice President, Global Solutions
As the Senior Vice President, Global Solutions, Ryan is responsible for Trilliant’s Solutions Architects, Strategic Engagements/Global Partnerships, Product Management, Proposals and Standards. Ryan joined Trilliant in early 2007, where he pioneered the process and best practice being implemented in Trilliant Smart Grid Deployments, he was responsible for end-to-end service delivery as well as early product introduction and performance. A Smart Grid/Utility Technology Executive, Ryan provides strategic vision and builds high-performance global technology organizations that translate customer vision into practical, profitable reality. Ryan leads a Global Professional Services organization, purpose built to provide Trilliant’s Utility partners with a comprehensive suite of Professional Services encompassing RF/Network Engineering & Design, System Integration & Consulting to ongoing operations and support. Ryan and his team ensure seamless and successful implementation of their Utility customers investment, maximizing early and sustained realization of operating benefits. Ryan’s entire professional career has been in the Electrical Utility Industry, with over ten years’ experience most recently before Trilliant with Manitoba Hydro – Canada, where he specialized in Utility Communications Systems, Network Operations, SCADA, HVDC Controls and System Protection.
Utilizing his education in Communications Engineering (Red River College – honors) and Utilities Management (University of Manitoba), Ryan is tasked with leading the delivery of efficient and reliable Professional Customer Services, in support of Trilliant’s Global Smart Network initiatives.
Senior Vice President, Global Services
As Senior Vice President, Global Services, Paul Karr is responsible for Trilliant’s Customer Services, Systems Integration, Network Delivery and Information Technology. Prior, Karr ran Trilliant’s EMEA region and also Trilliant’s Commercial Operations and was responsible for technical sales, sales operations, competitive intelligence, proposals and had led the negotiation of major customer and supplier agreements. Karr has more than 20 years of experience across sales, marketing and business development. Before joining Trilliant Networks he held executive positions in marketing and product management at Sun Microsystems where he played an instrumental role in the successful integration of SeeBeyond Corporation. Prior to Sun, Karr was Director of Strategic Alliances at CellNet Data Systems where he helped guide strategy through the acquisition by Schlumberger. Other industry experience includes leadership sales and marketing roles at ABB Asea Brown Boveri, Inktomi, and Texas Instruments. Karr has a Master of International Business degree from Seattle University and a BSEE from the University of Washington.
Senior Vice President, Networks
Dave Kranzler is responsible for all product management, R&D, and QA activities required to deliver smart grid solutions to our utility customers. Dave has 25 years of experience in delivering high performance networking, semiconductor, and wireless products to the global marketplace. He joined Trilliant from Cypress Semiconductor, where he was VP/GM of the Synchronous SRAM business unit, and led the product line to #1 market share. Prior to that, Dave was SVP of Product Development at Savi Technology, the leader in active RFID solutions which was acquired by Lockheed Martin in 2006. Earlier in his career, he held senior engineering and general management positions at Broadcom, Gadzoox Networks, and 3Com. Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Management
Steven is responsible for Trilliant’s global manufacturing and supply chain operations, and brings over 15 years of business experience leading successful early-stage and established Managed Services, Energy Management, and Smart Grid businesses. Engaging with the world’s best Tier 1 and specialty EMS providers, Steven partners with industry leaders to create and deliver Trilliant’s solutions across the globe. Steven maintains responsibility for Trilliant’s S-A-01:2014 Accreditation Standard through Measurement Canada, and it’s accompanying Quality Management System.
Prior to joining Trilliant in its incubation stage, Steven led IT organizations and managed services businesses through early-stage AMI deployments, and spear-headed the development and operation of Ontario’s first production AMI Smart Metering System utilizing the managed services business model. Steven is a computer engineering technologist with education from Seneca College and the University of Toronto.
Senior Vice President, Global Sales
Mike joined Trilliant in 2006 to lead business development, focusing on the establishment of Smart Grid partnerships crucial to the company’s success, including negotiating OEM agreements with leading meter manufacturers. Transitioning to sales in 2009, Mike led Trilliant’s pursuit of Iberdrola USA’s $200 million Smart Grid project, negotiating agreements to provide a complete Smart Grid communications network and associated services including prime supply of electric meters, network design and installation services, software integration, and project management. Mike’s utility background goes back to the mid-80’s when he interned in engineering at Narragansett Electric in Rhode Island and Vermont Yankee Nuclear Power. He began focusing on the Smart Grid market in the late 90’s with industry pioneer, CellNet Data Systems, and later joined Schlumberger following its acquisition of CellNet, where he managed the business development process from initial business case development through contract negotiations. Mr. Mortimer earned an MBA with Distinction from Bentley University in Waltham, MA and a Bachelor of Science
Managing Director, Asia Pacific
As the Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Bryan Spear is responsible for expanding Trilliant’s industry and business leadership in the Asia Pacific region. Bryan came to Trilliant with almost 15 years of leadership experience in the energy and technology industries. He has excelled in introducing companies and complex solutions into new markets. As an expert in utilities and smart grid technologies, Bryan has succeeded in delivering complex technical and commercial solutions to meet and exceed customer’s needs. Bryan joined Trilliant in 2010 from General Electric.
Bryan received an MBA from Northeastern University, and a BSEE from the University of Louisville.
